Homemade Almond Milk

Almond milk is made from ground almonds, frequently used as a substitute for dairy milk.

Unlike animal milk, almond milk has neither cholesterol nor lactose and being a plant food, it is often consumed by vegans, vegetarians, and others forgoing dairy. Commercial almond milk often comes in plain, vanilla, or chocolate flavors and is sometimes enriched with vitamins.

Homemade Almond Milk step by step.

  1. Soak 3/4 blanched whole almonds in water overnight. (6 to 8 hours)
  2. Drain and discard soaking water. Add 3 cups of water
  3. Blend at high, 2 times 50 seg.
  4. Strain with a clean cotton cloth
  5. Refrigerate in glass jar with lid (up to 3 days)

Remember: Revolve before each use.
